Brian left for an interview in Washington State early Monday morning so it has just been Fred ( our cat) and me holding down the fort. Fred offers companionship but the conversation part really lacks. He meows alot- he sleeps near Brian's feet at night, and snuggles to me at night but I know he misses Brian.
Brian had his interview yesterday and for the most part it went well. He will not find out if he got one of the positions until next week so he will be home late tomorrow night.
I and Fred are both ready for him to be home. It will be nice to have someone to visit with in the house and some one to help shovel all this snow. It will soon be time to call in the big guns to unbury us as the snow is piled up even with my shoulders and throwing it over the top of the pile is becoming a challenge to say the least. I had to dig through the drifts and unbury the gas tank so that we could get fuel for the stove. I think we have had enough snow but the weather service is saying there is more on the way. Hopefully Brian will be home before the next storm.

I hope he gets home soon, too! We'll keep our fingers crossed for the job!
