It amazes me how the weather can change so fast in Minnesota and how the years can be so different. Last year we were dealing with a lot of snow and bitter cold and this year has been almost snow free and very mild. That can change in a matter of hours however and will today as the temperature is suppose to fall like a rock throughout the day.
Yesterday it was in the high 50's with a lot of sunshine. It gave me the opportunity to be out side and get some leaves raked up to put on the septic tank. Without the snow to cover and protect it from the freezing temperatures it could freeze up and then we would have a major disaster on our hands. Frozen tanks can lead to broken tanks which equates into huge replacement costs. It is covered and hopefully protected.
Today I go back into town for the next three days of work. I sure am grateful that Cecilia lets me stay with her. I would be up the creek without a paddle otherwise.
