It's been a long one!

I woke up around 5 this morning as my hands and feet were itching intensely. I tried Benadryl on them- didn't work. I tried alcohol on them- it didn't work either. I tried washing and soaking them in water- still no luck. Then my neck, chest, ears, andeys started itching. Enough was enough. At 6:30 i decided I needed to get some help. The doctor came in and looked at me and ordered Prednisone and a Hydrocortizone cream. They monitored my blood pressure, heart rate and o2 saturation. Gradually the itch stopped and my blood pressure came back down into the normal range. I'm not sure what I am allergic to but it sure gives me a go around. This is the third time this has happened since December of last year. I'm going to keep a juornal and keep an eye on what might be triggering this.

After I recovered from my ordeal I went over to check on my dad. He has been ill since last Tuesday ( not yesterday). The doctors and nurses have been playing a guessing game and I have had enough of it. I AM going to get to the bottom of this tomorrow! His Dr. appointment is at 2:30. Not sure if I'll make it to work by 5PM but my boss knows what I am going to be doing.

Going to be going back into town in a little while to check up on Dad again. He only ate a few bites for me. He says that his abdomen hurts and he feels really weak. Enough of the guessing games and band-aides.

  1. I'm glad you were able to solve the itching thing, Mom. That sounds terrible. I hope things work out for Grandpa, too. I'm really grateful for all your work taking care of your family, and I'm glad it makes you happy to do it even if it's frustrating sometimes.
