Another "you done good"

For a long time Beatrice was crabbing about the plumbing under her kitchen sink leaking. She had a couple of plummers try to help her stop it and then my brother tried. Each attempt by the guys failed to resolve the issue. Last year while I was fighting cancer she was so good to help me that I determined it was high time for me to try to repay her in whatever way I could. Towards the end of July I was feeling pretty good so I decided I would try to see what I could do to help her. As I looked at the mess under her sink it was very obvious to me that the one drain pipe had been cut about 1/4 to 3/8 in too short. I told her what I needed to fix the problem and so we went and got the parts. It had not leaked since then.
Now she is having problems with sewer gases coming into the house. She called a plummer from Grove City to have him take a look and try to figure out what the problem is. He complemented me on the plumming job I did and that made me feel pretty good, coming from a plummer.

I am pretty sure that I know what the problem is this time and it isn't good because it will mean she will have to move out of her home. If I am right the sewage pipes under the concrete slab (her floor is concrete) have collapsed. That would pretty much mean the end of that house as the slab is cracked beyond repair already. The sewer gas is coming up through the cracks in the concrete. Her animals are getting sick and she will be next. She doesn't want to move but I think whether she likes to or not she will soon have to. The plummer keeps steering away from the problem by trying different things but in my heart I am almost sure that everything he is trying is not going to work.

We'll see what happens.
