Impressions

We never know who is watching us. I realized that more and more this week as I was working on my sisters yard and trying to get the landscaping project completed. I was surprised at the number of neighbors that were coming over and commenting on the work that I was doing. They were all very much impressed and commented how nice it was looking. The most amazing thing that happened though was when a neighbor brought over equipment that made the job a whole lot easier. How thoughtful of him!
Across the street from Ce's place is an apartment complex. I didn't pay much attention to it until the care taker of the property came over and introduced himself to me. He wanted to shake my hand but I had just been spraying Round-Up on some weeds in her driveway and didn't want to shake his hand with my dirty one so I politely declined but told him if it would not have been for that I would have shook hands with him. He told me that he was a retired minister and that he was now caretaker of the apartment complex and also a handy man. It was then that I realized that it was the same guy and his wife who had been sitting outside on the lawn. I thought they were just visiting and enjoying the outdoors but in fact they had been watching the landscape take on a new look. They were favorably impressed.
On Thursday I was standing on a ladder and trimming off the low lying branches of one of the trees in her front yard when a guy i've never seen before walked by, smiled, and said,"Be careful so you don't fall" !
It seems like the whole world has been watching but maybe it is just Heavenly Father's way of saying, Well done, my child! It feels like it anyway as the people's comments and actions have felt like a warm fuzzy for me.
