Yesterday and today I spent the day with Beatrice. Some people that she knows are giving her a freezer and she needed to clean out her shed so that she will have room for it. That was what we started to do and when I opened the door I found it falling off the hinges and into my hands. It was a heavy door that my dad had built specifically for the shed. I laid it down on the ground and we began the cleaning process.
It was one of those places that is used to put everything that doesn't have a place to go and so it was pretty full of a lot of stuff. After emptying everything out on the lawn, I discovered that the floor of the shed was spongy and would not likely hold a freezer and so I took some measurements and went to the lumber yard and purchased some plywood to help reinforce the floors. That was today's project, as well as sorting and separating the keepers from the discards. Tonight the floor is sturdy, the door is fixed and the shed is organized and uncluttered. It is amazing what you can find when you clean up your surroundings!!!!
We've accomplished a lot and I am tired.
Have a good night!
