Late night antics

So I'm about dead on my feet tonight and here I sit. I should be in bed but we had a cook out tonight after cleaning up some dry debris from under the trees in the yard. I tried burning all of it while we were cooking supper but here it is almost 11PM and the brush pile is still smoldering. Dad assures me that it won't go anywhere because it wants to smolder more than burn but I don't lke to leave it unattended, even if it is in the middle of the field.

I took Beatie back into town after the cook out. I invited her out to help her deal with the stress she is feeling over some medical tests that they are going to do tomorrow. They are sending her through an MRI and the thought terrifies her as she is claustrophobic. They have given her some Valium to calm her down before the procedure. She will be okay.

Dad said that I stink too bad to go to bed so I need to go get cleaned up.
