I'm still here!
Okay, I made it through the two surgery sessions for the Doctor to find a viable tissue sample to send to pathology. He is pretty certain that I do not have ovarian cancer. It looks like it is one of about thirty- three(?) different kinds and so the search is on to find out exactly what kind of cancer I have. It seems to be limited to the lymph nodes in the abdomen and has not spread to any other internal organs. On Tuesday the results should be in from pathology to show us exactly what kind of lymphoma it is. On Tuesday I am also scheduled for a double bone marrow biopsy, to have a port put into place and to have an echocardiogram done for baseline purposes. Some of the chemicals that they will be giving me can mess the heart over. This really scares me. I won't have chemo for another two to three weeks while my body tries to heal from this surgery. In the meantime I am going to try to fight this with food. I learned that cancer cells do not live in Oxygennated cells, that they do not live in an alkaline environment, that they thrive on sugar, white flour and enriched white rice and that if I work my diet right I can be free of cancer without the harmful effects of chemo. So I have three to four weeks to prove those statements correct. Brian said that if it doesn't work we will have to go the chemo route. He is skeptical about the diet issue but Heavenly Father has promised us good health if we follow the word of wisdom. I have got to give up my sweets and a few of my much other loved foods but if that is what it takes to keep out of Chemo then that is what I have to do.

It was wonderful talking to you yesterday. We love you and are thinking about you all the time! Good luck with the diet - that would be wonderful if it worked! We're praying for you, and hope all goes well on Tuesday, as well as in the weeks to come.

P.S. I gave Maren a hug for you and told her good luck - she asked how you were. She will be a great missionary, won't she?
