The past two days have been kind of tiring and I must say that a day of kicking back and relaxing would feel good.
Yesterday I worked on my car. I took out the old radiator and put in a new one as the old was totally shot. I told myself a while back that I was done working on the vehicles. Brian had put up his dream shop and so I told him that I would be glad to hand the car repair work over to him.
Not having a vehicle to run errands with is a great motivator! Having to ride my bike in a thunderstorm is not a very appealing idea to me. I enjoy the biking part of it- it's getting all wet in the process that I don't care for. Anyway- that job is done and I finally managed to get the transmission cooling lines lined up properly so they don't leak.
I haven't been in to see my Dad for a couple of days now and so that has a high priority on my list for the day. After that I need to come home and clean house. It has gone two days without cleaning and we have had rain so the floors are looking tough. It would be nice to have entry /mudrooms on this place to keep all the mud/dirt/gravel/whatever outside.
I want to sit down to the sewing machine too. I have some projects that I want to work on. It would be a good time to do them as it is too wet outside to do much in the way of yard work or other maintenance that needs tending.
The barn is in real need of some maintenance. It is looking pretty shabby on the outside. I lowered the roost for the hens last night as I had one of the big ones fly off the roost into the wall and she broke her neck. I really felt bad about it but there was nothing I could do for her except bury her. Eating her was not an option as I didn't know how long she had been dead. I had to be somewhere else and so Dad buried her for me. That reminds me of something else! I need to get going- i turned the nesting boxes upside down last night to discourage the one little hen from nesting. She sure is persistent!
