It is Wednesday June 10th and we once again are blessed with more rain. We have had dry weather for a long time and have been in drought conditions for a couple of years. We started out this month by being three inches under normal so the rain we've been getting should help.
A couple of weeks ago we had some hot, dry, windy weather and it was blowing the soil out of the fields. The air was was a light brown color and we had to turn our headlights on while driving. I think that there must have been a lot of farmer's praying for rain that day.
I am glad that I chose to clean the barn yesterday morning because I could put all of the animals outside and just get in and clean. The sun never made it through the cloud cover but that was okay because it allowed the moisture to soak into the ground.
I rode my bike to work from Cecilia's house in the afternoon and made it without getting wet! It started to sprinkle just as I got back to her house after work. It was not bad though and so I did a little bit more work on Cecilia's yard. It is coming together nice and she will be very happy when it is done. We still have quite a bit of work left to do on it but we take it a little bit at a time and it doesn't seem to overwhelming.
This morning I am going to take Eleanor to her appointments. We will be leaving at 9 AM and I do not expect to be back home much before 4 this afternoon. I hope that everything is continuing to go well for her.
She is an amazing lady! Aunt Eleanor is 86 and still goes dancing on a weekly basis. She has always been full of spunk. I love her dearly and treasure the time that I get to spend with her. I miss my mother but I would not want her to be here if she would have had to continue to suffer the way she was. I am grateful that I have the Gospel in my life because it gives me great comfort and I know that my mom is in good hands and that she is very happy and free of the infimities that caused her to suffer.
I have multiple tasks to get accomplished before leaving for St. Cloud this morning so I need to get moving.
Have a wonderful day!
